There are only few weeks left in this academic year and you want to use them to plan engaging, non-standard lessons with experimenting elements. You probably didn’t really have the chance to think about this kind of planning earlier because of your scheme of work, exams and other important things. Here’s an idea for you!
The main steps of the project can be divided into the following:
Introduce the assignment which is to create a short video clip based on a topic of a student’s choice.
Decide on a storyline / individual shots / sequences and also a mood (this includes music!).
Create a storyboard and prepare the individual shots (or use appropriate software).
Organise the individual shots, edit the exposure time, add music, etc.
Share it on Instagram account (you can use Gramblr uploader).
ⓘ I know it’s a quite complex project, but how exciting! There is an easy to print version of this project ready to download.
ⓘ This idea is based on my own project - a short video clip, which you can see soon here.
Big thank you to @mmmmkacietravis (blog post) and @frannerd (youtube video) for the inspiration!
#GoForItApp allows you to roll virtual dice (one die or two dice) to pick true random numbers. Roll the dice and enjoy the game you’re playing!
▸ Upload the PDF file to #GoForItApp available here to be able to display the dice on your whiteboard and to pick true random numbers.
▸ Press Enter to roll the dice.

Using #GoForItApp you can transform classic questions into a fun, whole class activity:
▸ Use free #GoForItStarters available here and compatible with #GoForItApp resources available here or create your own (it’s a really easy process - you can find more information in Helpful Tips).
▸ When going through the questions, you can use a class register together with your worksheet to increase student participation.
▸ Students will learn a great deal by having time to think for themselves, explaining their ideas to others, and by participating in activities in which they can learn from their peers.
▸Students feel that the randomised name generator is a much fairer process than the classic “hand raising”.
Have some fun in your sessions! There are 21 small stickers to a page with your feedback comments:
